Cake4Kindness Day 2025

20th November 2025, marked Cake4Kindness 3rd birthday and to celebrate we invited communities to join us for Cake4Kindness Day.

A day to bake and connect with others to alleviate loneliness and social isolation. And through kindness share those bakes with their local homeless charities (or a charity of their choice) and build local relationships and help create a more inclusive, kinder and supportive community.

Below are a few of the many communities that participated in the initiative last year and have pledged to celebrate the day again in 2026. Take a read below and see how they celebrated Cake4Kindness Day 2025.

In 2025, Cake4Kindness Day:

- 146 organisations and families participate

- Supported 104 charities in the UK, Australia and Canada

- Baked over 8000 cakes collectively

This was the first year that BUPA Care Homes, participated and one of the greatest success stories. There was so much fulfilment from all parties that they have already pledges to participate in 2026.

Residents got together with wellbeing team and baked and decorated cupcakes that supported 7 charities.

In 2025, we had participation from our first Hotel. Holiday Inn Express Stratford participated and the whole hospitality team got involved.

Even team members who had never baked before, joined in to make a difference. The cakes were then with love donated to the members of their local Salvation Army who distributed these with hot drinks at their drop in centre.

The Secret Garden Café in Standish, Wigan, participated in Cake4Kindness Day by encouraging all their customers to bake treats and bring to the café on 20th November. These were then distributed by the Café owner to a local homeless charity in Wigan.

You do not have to be a care home to participate in Cake4Kindness Day, you just need to care and look at ways to bring people together in your community.

All of Country Court Care Homes participated in 2025. At their Carpenders Park care home, they were joined by Aaron Phipps OBE, a Team GB gold medal-winning Paralympian. He brought along his gold medal for residents to see and took part in cake decorating, as well as spending time chatting with residents.
