Cake4Kindness Day 2024

21st November 2024, marked Cake4Kindness 2nd birthday and to celebrate we invited communities to join us for Cake4Kindness Day, the first of our annual initiative.

A day to bake and connect with others to alleviate loneliness and social isolation. And through kindness share those bakes with their local homeless charities (or a charity of their choice) and build local relationships and help create a more inclusive, kinder and supportive community.

Below are a few of the many communities that participated in the initiative last year and have pledged to celebrate the day again in 2025. Take a read below and see how they celebrated Cake4Kindness Day 2024.

The Secret Garden Café in Standish, Wigan, participated in Cake4Kindness Day by encouraging all their customers to bake treats and bring to the café on 21st November. These were then distributed by the Café owner to a local homeless charity in Wigan.

You do not have to be a care home to participate in Cake4Kindness Day, you just need to care and look at ways to bring people together in your community.
